Design that feels inevitable, built by hand.
Twenty years of shipping products, still sweating the pixel.
I'm Garvin, a UX/UI designer and front-end engineer with 20+ years turning complicated problems into interfaces people don't have to think about. I move between research, design, and code, so ideas ship as working components, not handoffs.
Today I work AI-native, doing AI engineering with Claude and multi-agent workflows to go from idea to working software fast, without losing the craft. From controller UIs at Hach to a component library and mobile app for Arrow Electronics, I care about one thing: does this make someone's day easier?
A few things I've designed, built, and shipped.
Hach Controller
A tablet interface for a water-quality instrument: big readings, clear status, one small icon system.
Kritek LLC
A brand mark, a 67-icon library, and six shipped pages for an IT consulting firm serving transportation agencies.
Sports Authority
A team and coach registry taken from a low-fi Axure wireframe to a finished, on-brand interface.
Arrow Electronics
Snap, an Angular 2 component library of design tokens and UI components for Arrow Electronics.
Let's Roam
A 48-hour take-home redesign of a scavenger-hunt app's core hunt screen — research, spec, and a working interactive demo, not just mockups.
Skills
Let's build something worth using.
Open to full-time roles, contract work, and interesting problems.
